What made you apply for job at Acreo? What attracted you?
Acreo is working in between academic and industry to bridge scientific achievements to daily life, especially its interdisciplinary research fields provide unlimited space for researchers to create and develop innovative solutions for various applications. This working vision and its well-established facilities including a modern cleanroom which enable to explore the frontier of nano/micro materials and components are very attractive to me.
Tell me about your job?
I am in Nanoelectronics department working on optoelectronic devices and integrations, also manage projects routinely although the project scale varies. I have been involved national and international collaborations through industrial, EU (Labels, Iphobac, Sandra) projects, and joint research activities worldwide. It has been pleasant as supervisor for several Master degree students, and as co-supervisor for two PhD students at KTH, also a member of Electrum Laboratory strategy group.
What is the greatest challenge?
To achieve project goals within limited time and resources, sometimes even with the necessity ‘making the impossible possible’.
What do you appreciate with Acreo?
A good scientific and friendly atmosphere ensures dynamic working. The mixture of cultures which is benefited by different languages, genders, distributed ages (experienced researches or young students), promotes and inspires new ideas and creativities. Actually, after-work activities, such as parties, sports (badminton) provide opportunities for knowing colleagues better, which stimulate stronger project teams.
Acreo is part of Swedish ICT together with Interactive Institute, Santa Anna, SICS and Viktoria Institute.
