Swedish business delegation to the UN Office in Geneva

26 October, 2016 - 14:29

Acreo, represented by Peter Kjäll, was one of the organizations who visited the UN Office in Geneva with Business Sweden, to discuss projects with innovation and sustainability in focus. The visit included meetings with UNHCR, WHO, ICRC and GAVI.

One of the main topics was the cooperation between Médecins Sans Frontières Sweden (Läkare utan gränser) and Acreo, regarding the cold chain process that ensures that vaccines, medicines and laboratory products are not exposed to too high or too low temperatures, to ensure that the medicament won't be not destroyed. Other topics linked to Acreo technology was water and dairy product quality in the projetcs Sensation III and Symphony.

UN procurement of goods and services was $17.6 billion in 2015 and with an increased focus on innovation, sustainability and novel technology. I think that, and also from the response and feedback we got, that our expertise within Acreo can be part of this huge movement in technology for good, says Peter Kjäll, Business Area Manager – Life Science, at Acreo.
