A high technology meeting place
- Broadband Access networks - a wide range of technolgy choices
A broadband network logically breaks down in several discrete parts. On a high level we talk about home, access and core networks.
- Acreo demonstrates long-haul optical transport at 40 Gbit/s
Field test shows 40 Gbit/se long-haul transmission ready for deployment.
- Acreo highlights GMPLS
Generalized Multi-Protocol Label Switching (GMPLS) is a new technology adding increased possibilities for dynamical multi-layer control to service providers and operators networks.
- A multiservice interactive network - the facilitator for communication
At the Acreo test bed 170 test pilots (contracted end-users) are testing the new technique in a real environment, and give their opinion of the functionality of new solutions and services. The test pilots constitute a representative picture of society, living in in the country side as well as in detached houses and apartments in a city environment.
