R&D and production of specialty optical fibers and preforms
Acreo FiberLab is a unique resource in Northern Europe open for customers and partners at Swedish and foreign universities, institutes and industry. The facility is equipped with the latest instrumentation for manufacture and characterization of advanced optical fibers.
We perform contract R&D, participate in EU and collaborative projects, and carry out production.

Microstructured fibers
Multi-hole / multi-core designs.
Fibers with electrodes
We use our in-house technology to fill lengths of hole fiber with metal electrodes or other materials.
Doped fibres and preforms
Fibres doped with rare-earth elements, such as Erbium, Ytterbium, or Neodymium.
Harsh environment fibers, special coatings
Polyimide, silicones and acrylates.
Custom fibres or preforms
We custom develop fibres and preforms with our partners and costumers.
