Optical Components

Acreo deals with several aspects of optical components and systems for various applications. We take on different types of assignments in this area and have a long-range experience of the following.

We develop and manufacture new components or materials with new properties based on semiconductor structures in the nano meter scale. Examples are new types of light sources, detectors or modulators.

Imaging: IR-detectors and thermal imaging such as QWIP and Microbolometer. Bio medical imaging. Read Aperturen articles

Acreo National Broadband Testbed
Design, simulation and laboratory tests of transmission systems and components at 40 Gbit and beyond. Leading companies representing a wide range of the telecom business participate in Acreo's national fibre optic test-bed.
