Fiber measurements

Acreo offers characterization of installed fiber in terms of important quality parameters such as PMD (Polarization Mode Dispersion). This is an important basis for network operators who are about to make decisions and cost estimates before upgrading to higher capacity in their networks, for example 40/100 Gbps per wavelength.

Qualification of optical components and systems

Acreo has advanced measurement equipment to test the performance of different types of components and complete systems. We offer this service to companies as support in the development of new products, but also as an independent evaluation of existing solutions.

High-speed transmission

Acreo performs research in areas such as advanced modulation formats, coherent communications and digital signal processing directed towards increasing capacity of optical networks resulting in both patents and scientific publications. We are continuously working with both Swedish and European industry in applied research projects.
