Acreo and Swedish ICT in collaboration with VINNOVA offers Swedish SMEs the possiblity to conduct feasibility studies and / or develop project plans with a focus on ICT (Information and Communication Technology). These preparatory projects will serve as support processes for a later R & D project.

Acreo is a node in this European network for transnational cooperation and technology transfer. The network covers 47 countries with more than 580 SME support organizations, it offers powerful tools for finding business partners on the international market and provides support in contacts with the EU.

Ballad is a cooperative effort involving partners in Sweden, Finland, Estonia and Latvia, with the objective of creating a digital communication infra-structure between Living Labs in the Baltic area. In a Living Lab environment, the end users or consumers are involved in all phases of the development of new digital services, from conception to the final introduction on the market. The Ballad project is supported by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).

Acreo has accumulated a substantial knowledge base in optical fiber technology, with potential applications in ICT as well as industrial products. Acreo Business Services is managing a project where this knowledge base is made available to SME’s. The previously proven business development techniques from teknIQ and minST are employed, where the process starts with the requirements from the customer and ends when the new or improved product is put on the market.
