It was a great pleasure to present at this conference, says Marco Forzati and Crister Mattsson, Acreo. It was like beeing part of an Oscar or Academy Award.

Here is a short movie with snap shots from the event. You get a glance of Marco and Crister at 00:45.

In the session Socio-economic Benefits of FTTH Networks Dr. Marco Forzati, Senior Scientist, and Crister Mattsson, Senior Advisor, Acreo, presented: "The Uncaptured Values of FTTH"

The FTTH Council Europe is an industry organisation whose mission is to accelerate the availability of fibre-based, ultra-high-speed access networks for the benefit of consumers and businesses.

Created in 2004 by five founding members: Alcatel-Lucent, Cisco, Corning, Emtelle and OFS, the FTTH Council Europe now has more than 150 members and a contracted team working to promote the benefits of fibre access across the continent.

Our members are mostly organisations deploying FTTH, and manufacturers of FTTH solutions. In addition we have some academic institutions on board, and we also welcome members from sectors such as media and eHealth.

The members of the FTTH Council Europe are at the core of all activities.
